Forum: ‘Implementation of Well-being in Whole-school Approach’

Main Stage Presentations

Overview

International comparisons released by Hong Kong Centre for International Student Assessment, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2020 showed that Hong Kong students attained a level of well-being that has room for improvement, with a lower level of life satisfaction and self-rated health than the global standard. Together with the constant change in learning mode and reduction of activities under the pandemic, there are rising well-being issues among students that require our immediate attention. The Learning Compass 2030, introduced by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), also pointed out that well-being is essential in helping students flourish in academic and social realms.

In this forum, academics, educators and representatives of Education Funder will share their valuable experiences and insights, and discuss the following: What are their successful experiences in educational well-being? How can schools develop strong collaboration with the community? What agency or benefits will encourage the promotion of well-being in schools? To start a well-being project at school, are there good ways to find local resources and funding sources? What are the preferred methods of outcomes evaluation to formulate the way forward?
