School-based Design Concept of 'Three-Ring Curriculum'

Overview

The 'Three-Ring Curriculum' is based on our Eco-Garden, STEM and General Studies. The Eco-Garden is a practical platform for students to apply knowledge and skills after taking the core lessons of General Studies, then with hands-on products created by STEM programmes. The 'Three-Ring Curriculum' has three areas closely linked to each other to facilitate a comprehensive learning study.

Objectives:
1.To improve students' environmental awareness;
2.To create a caring culture for the natural environment;
3.To let students understand the needs of animals and plants and help to solve their problems through STEM programmes;
4.To improve students’ independent learning and exploration abilities;
5.To develop students’ interdisciplinary skills through project learning; and
6.Students are trained as ambassadors and little teachers of the Eco-Garden, and share their knowledge and skills with fellow schoolmates.
