Applying Design Thinking in Project-based Learning on Gerontechnology

Overview

This school has combined design thinking process with project-based learning. The aim of the project is to create some gerontechnology products or models in group to help the elderly. This school would like to improve the students' empathy by letting them study the physical and mental need of the elderly and how much they have contributed to the society. Students will interview the elderly to collect data and their opinion to find out what they need. Based on the finding of survey, the groups need to design and apply coding skills in Micro:bit , as well as using brick to create the product in real or in model to deal with the difficulties of the elderly.
