Overview
Due to the pandemic and digitalisation trend in recent years, the demand for solutions to adapt to the ‘new normal’ has never been stronger. In light of this, Department of Childcare, Elderly and Community Services, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Sha Tin) researched on the digital competence of educators who teach children aged 0 to 6 in 2019, and developed a series of cross-disciplinary in-service training and diverse innovations in enhancing digital solutions in education and professionality of teachers.
The speakers will explain the necessity of digitalisation in the school administration, management, and parent-teacher communication in early childhood education. Ways of how to utilise the tools and training to support the development of digitalisation in early childhood education will also be shared.
