Overview
This school has established the ‘Eco-Corner’ for more than five years and has been taking care of over 40 species of reptiles, amphibians and warm-blooded creatures. The whole habitat was built by our students and teachers. Internet of Things technology has been applied to monitor the environment and record real-time data of the creatures. The knowledge of our students was enriched through the process of taking care of the reptiles and amphibians. It also builds up good moral values such as respectfulness and cherishment.
This open lesson will:
1. Share students’ achievements, such as real-time eco-data Mobile App, and their experiences in caring for animals;
2. Show how to achieve a balance between ecology, science and technology education; and
3. Let participants observe our reptiles and amphibians at close range.
