Maintaining Well-being of Students with Implications for Pedagogical Approach and Stress Management

Well-being Theatre

Overview

"Well-being is a board concept encompassing aspects of physical, social and psychological, of which psychological well-being is the focus of this paper. Psychological well-being (PWB) is an important factor that contributes to the success of the individual, no matter it is in the career or academia. However, not all people are able to grasp the true meaning of entering the state of well-being. Most people think that as long as they get tangible rewards like getting a good GPA in schools or salary in a job, this will automatically generate happiness and lead to PWB in life.
Some people who avoid facing obstacles in life at all costs and are not willing to give something a try. They associate ill-being with something negative that needs to be managed. Life in reality is full of ups and downs and it is frequent that we experience peaks and valleys in mapping out our future direction and facing adversity. As such, well-being is not the absence of ill-being and it is important for students to acquire this idea."
